Close the month. Vann builds the board package.

Once your month is closed and exported, Vann turns those exports into a board package, variance against budget and prior year, and a rest-of-year reforecast. Where a deck is built, it comes off the same numbers as the workbook and the forecast, so they agree. Once it's built, we keep it running on a monthly retainer, with support each month.

Sample data, $ thousands. Specimen Commercial Services Co., a made-up company.

Margin axis starts at 9 percent. Same specimen, same trial balance as the revenue panel.

What gets built, and what keeps running

Vann starts from your accounting exports and the Excel files your team uses today, and builds on top of what you already run.

The build

  • Close to board pack. From your accounting exports through a formatted package, so the board package comes off the close instead of being rebuilt after it.
  • Variance. Against budget and prior year, across month, quarter and year to date, with Reported EBITDA bridges.
  • Rest-of-year reforecast. Downside, base and upside cases, refreshed each close, with the projection method set per line.
  • KPIs. Computed from the same trial balance as the board package.

The retainer

  • Monthly refresh. Data refresh and monitoring every close.
  • Model updates. Quarterly model and forecast updates as the business changes.
  • Template upkeep. The reporting format your board or investors expect, kept current.
  • Board cycle support. Scenario requests and questions through each cycle.

Enhanced Proprietary Security Guardrail Overlay on Top of Industry Implementation

The books and statements a client sends typically carry payroll, owner pay and the balance in each bank account. Vantage built its own guardrails around them.

A workspace per engagement

One client's books have no place in another client's work. Each client engagement has its own workspace, and a guard we built turns away the agents that work in our own codebase.

Released by a person

Work reaches a client when a person hands it over. Email goes out, and the site is published, when a person releases it. An agent from outside Vantage stays switched off until it passes our containment tests.

How the engagement runs

The build is specific to your company, your accounting system, your reporting requirements and your close calendar, and it's maintained so it keeps running through every close.

It starts with a finance automation assessment

We map how your closed books become the reporting your board or investors see today, from the chart of accounts to the package, and every step between them that is rebuilt by hand each month. You get a written implementation plan showing what we would automate and in what order, and the plan is yours whether or not you build with us.

Then the build, then we keep it running

The build runs from your accounting exports through variance, the reforecast and a board-ready package. Each package goes through an automated check, and where a deck is built, it confirms the headline figures read the same in the workbook and the deck. After that, monthly refresh, error monitoring, quarterly model updates and board cycle support.

Every deliverable is yours

Each workbook and model is delivered self-contained. Open it and trace any number down to the cell. The retainer covers the automation behind it.
